Amy Cole-Gibbons

Director for Grants and Contracts

Bio

Amy Cole-Gibbons serves as the director for grants and contracts. In this role, she works with all departments to coordinate contracts, proposals, grants to NTI, and grants from NTI to third parties.  Amy is a member of NTI’s DEI Task Force addressing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion issues for the organization and within the international security community. She is also the primary representative for Import and Export Control matters at NTI.

Cole began her career conducting assessments of high risk youth and research for University of Connecticut’s Health Center.  Cole moved into teaching science, math and developed life skills curricula for at risk populations in Connecticut.  She comes to NTI with expertise in grant and program management, cultural competency, developing community partnerships, outreach and needs assessment as a result of over 10 years serving in non-profit management roles with special regard to human services.

Cole has served on a number of boards which work to enhance the quality of life, especially for underserved populations. She has worked with local elected officials and government organizations to win their support on projects that help people thrive in a safer, healthier manner.

She holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Connecticut and has obtained certifications in special needs training, therapeutic recreation, brain disorders, medication administration and support group management.
