Jessica Bufford

Jessica Bufford joined NTI in January 2013 as a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow in the International Program.  Prior to joining NTI, Bufford worked at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies as a graduate research assistant in the International Organizations for Nonproliferation Program on their disarmament monitoring report and a database of statements by the Non-Aligned Movement. 

Following a summer internship at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, she presented her research on disarmament verification at the 2011 PONI fall conference.  She has also served as a junior political officer in the WMD branch at the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs in New York.

Bufford is a member of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. She graduated from the Monterey Institute of International Studies with a M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution.  She received a B.A. from Austin College where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
