The Commonwealth Club of California hosted former Secretary of State George Shultz, former Defense Secretary William Perry and Senator Sam Nunn for a discussion of international security, nuclear threats, Iran’s drive to build a bomb, the North Korean nuclear weapons program and future prospects for limiting the spread of nuclear materials and eventually eliminating nuclear weapons.
The event took place February 23 at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco and was moderated by Philip Taubman, author of The Partnership: Five Cold Warriors and Their Quest to Ban the Bomb.
