A device containing strontium stolen in Saratov
Abstract:
A criminal case was opened in Saratov concerning the theft of an ice detector RIO-3 that contained a capsule with strontium-80, Regnum news agency reported on 2 October 2008. According to the report, an unnamed suspect stole the detector from a decommissioned Yak-40 airplane belonging to Avia Alyans (Avia Alliance) company. The time of theft was indicated only as between 11 July 2005 and 22 September 2008. {Entered GM}
