U.S. Air Force Conducts Successful ICBM Test
From Thursday, September 16, 2004 issue.
The U.S. Air Force yesterday conducted a successful test of an unarmed Minuteman 3 ICBM from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, according to the Associated Press (see GSN, June 25). The missile took about 30 minutes to reach targets about 4200 miles away in the Marshall Islands (Associated Press/KESQ.com, Sept. 16).
