Workers Contain Mustard Gas Leak at Deseret CW Depot

Workers at the Deseret Chemical Depot in Utah have sealed three weapons leaking mustard gas, the Associated Press reported yesterday (see GSN, Oct. 20).

The leaks — the third detected this month — were discovered in a storage igloo during routine monitoring, according to AP.

Workers wore protective clothing and put the projectiles in airtight containers for storage, the depot said in a statement (Associated Press/KUTV, Oct. 25).
