Search for Sarin Leaks Continues at Blue Grass

Officials at Blue Grass Army Depot in Kentucky are continuing to look for rockets leaking sarin nerve agent following the discovery of three leaking rockets, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported last week (see GSN, May 13).

Sarin leaks were first discovered May 10. Officials entered the storage igloos six days later to determine their cause.

The three leaking rockets have been contained and are expected to eventually be moved to another storage igloo, Blue Grass spokesman Richard Sloan said in a press release (Lexington Herald-Leader, May 27).
