Japanese Trade Ministry Files Criminal Complaint Against Firm Linked to Nuclear Transfers

The Japanese Trade Ministry today filed a criminal complaint against a company suspected of violating trade laws by exporting nuclear-related equipment, the Associated Press reported (see GSN, Sept. 5). Mitutoyo Corp. is suspected of exporting measuring devices with military nuclear applications, the ministry announced in a statement (Associated Press/Yahoo!News, Sept. 8).
