PSI Conference Convenes in Nebraska

Representatives from 20 countries convened a meeting yesterday in Omaha, Neb., to discuss ways of combating WMD proliferation, the State Department announced today (see GSN, March 3).

The conference, hosted by U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, brings together members of the U.S.-led Proliferation Security Initiative to consider how to involve new participants in exercises, enhance training scenarios, and improve interoperability, according to the press statement (U.S. State Department release, March 21).
