OTHER NAMES: China Academy of Basic Technology for Space Electronics; Ninth Academy.
CASET is one of nine design academies under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). It is headquartered in Beijing's Haidian district, with sites in Nanyuan and near Xian. CASET employs 5,000 people in 2 research institutes and 3 factories.

CASET develops specialized computers, integrated circuits, electric adapter connectors, and other microelectronic devices in support of CASC projects.
