China National Machinery and Equipment
Import and Export Corporation Statement
The Washington Time reports in two consecutive reports
it published on 6 and 7 August that the China National Machinery and
Equipment Import and Export Corporation had exported at least 12 shipments
of missile parts to Pakistan. The corporation hereby solemnly states:
1. Our corporation's business operations are primarily contracting
international construction projects and importing and exporting machinery
and electrical products and complete sets of equipment. Since our
establishment, our corporation has always been operating legally within
the scope that has been approved by the state. Our corporation has never
provided any military equipment, weaponry, or weapon parts to Pakistan or
any other country in the world.
2. In handling all our export businesses, our corporation has never rented
trucks to export goods from our country.
3. The two reports that The Washington Time published were totally
