Shanghai Boiler Works Limited grew out of Andersen Meyer & Company, Ltd., established in 1906. In 1950 the company became state owned and by 1953 the company's name was changed to, Shanghai Boiler Works. By 1997 the company name was again changed. The company is currently referred to as Shanghai Boiler Works, Ltd.
Shanghai Boiler Works Limited is the largest manufacturer of boilers in
China. SBWL's other manufactures include heavy chemical vessel and nuclear
power equipment. SBWL provides steam generators, pressurizers, and
evaporators for the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant.
