Shanghai

New nuclear test facility reportedly built with Russian assistance.

According to China Daily, Chinese officials intend to see Shanghai take a leading role in Chinese production of nuclear-related equipment and nuclear research and design. Shanghai is close to the site of China's first nuclear power reactor at Qinshan, where plans are currently underway for four new nuclear power plants.
