YEREVAN INSTITUTE OF PHYSICS

ACTIVITIES:
Founded in 1943, the Institute claims to have about 1400 employees, including 400 researchers and 550 engineers and technicians.  The Institute has a 6GeV electron synchrotron, but most activities at the Institute have been suspended.

Analytical and testing devices for nuclear power plants. Clients include the Leningrad NPP and Severodvinsk in Russia, and facilities in the Baltic States, Pakistan, Iran, Yemen, China, Greece and Turkey.
