SUPPLEMENTARY PROTOCOL TO THE PROTOCOL ON PROCEDURES GOVERNING
REPLACEMENT, DISMANTLING OR DESTRUCTION, AND NOTIFICATION THEREOF, FOR
ABM SYSTEMS AND THEIR COMPONENTS OF JULY 3, 1974

Pursuant to the provisions and in implementation of the Treaty between
the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
on the Limitation of Anti-Ballistic Missile Systems of May 26, 1972, hereinafter
referred to as the Treaty, the Agreed Statements regarding the Treaty,
and the Protocol to the Treaty of July 3, 1974, the Parties thereto have,
within the framework of the Standing Consultative Commission and in implementation
of the provisions of the Protocol on Procedures Governing Replacement,
Dismantling or Destruction, and Notification Thereof, for ABM Systems and
Their Components of July 3, 1974, agreed upon procedures governing replacement,
dismantling or destruction, and notification thereof, for ABM systems and
their components limited by the Treaty, as formulated in the Attachment
to this Supplementary Protocol.

This Supplementary Protocol and the attached Procedures shall constitute
an integral part of the Protocol on Procedures Governing Replacement, Dismantling
or Destruction, and Notification Thereof, for ABM Systems and Their Components
of July 3, 1974 and shall be considered the second attachment to that Protocol.
The attached Procedures shall enter into force upon signature of this Supplementary
Protocol and remain in force for the duration of the Treaty, and may be
amended by the Standing Consultative Commission as it deems appropriate.
