Russia: Missile Exports To India: Manufacturing and Test Equipment

To return to the main Missile Exports to India entry, see the Missile Exports to India file.

The rocket engine sales agreement between Glavkosmos and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) revised in 1993 (see entry on missile components) included equipment to test cryogenic engines. In March 1997, the Russian press reported that the ISRO had received "state-of-the-art equipment to test cryogenic rocket engines" from Russia. [1, 2] The reports did not mention the specific type of equipment provided or the Russian manufacturer.
