MPC&A:
Physical protection training completed. MC&A training completed. No upgrades planned for LEU fuel storage.[1]
This facility was found to not have significant quantities of weapons grade material and was therefore dropped from the DOE MPC&A program. No equipment was provided.[2]

NAME:
RG-1M
TYPE: pool
POWER: 0.1MW
FUEL: 3.6kg, 90% enriched
COMMENTS:
This reactor was commissioned in 1970 and underwent reconstruction in 1975. The State Specialized Design Institute designed the reactor. The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics (VNIIEF) was the chief constructor of the reactor.[1] In June 1998 the reactor was shut down and the reactor core containing 71 fuel assemblies was placed in an on-site storage pool. In September 1999, the spent fuel was shipped to the Mayak reprocessing plant.[2]
