ACTIVITIES:
Since its creation in 1947, GEOKhI has conducted research in the areas of nuclear power generation, plutonium production processes, radiochemistry, separation of transuranium elements, production of super-pure substances, analytical methodologies and techniques, and prospecting for and extracting rare elements.  Since the 1960s, this institute has become a leader in space radiochemistry research, including the study of radioactive meteorites and lunar probes. GEOKhI also conducts research in the area of geochemistry, particularly radio-geochemistry.
