ACTIVITIES:
The Kola Scientific Center's Institute for Physical and Technological Problems of Power Engineering in Northern Areas (IEN KSC) investigates regional energy policy and the environmental impact of energy programs.[1,2] The KSC Mining Institute is designing a future radioactive waste disposal site.[3,4] The Mining Institute is also investigating the possibility of constructing nuclear power plants below ground.[4]
