Abstract: Georgian State Security Ministry officials seized 23 containers of plutonium from several apartments in Tbilisi on 15 October 2001, according to the Georgian news agency Prime-News.[1] The report does not indicate the amount of plutonium seized, but states that the material had a value of $65,000. Tbilisi residents Anzon Baramidze and Artem Kabchyan, and Shota Tabagari from Dighomi were detained for trying to sell the plutonium. The State Security Ministry is conducting an investigation.
