Cabo Raso
Location:44.3333° S, 65.2333° W, approximately 130km south of Rawson along the eastern coast of Argentina.
Subordinate to: Air Force
Primary Function: Rocket launch
Description: Cabo Raso was the last-minute choice as the location for a 1988 public test-launch of the Cóndor II and the Alacrán. US Ambassador Theodore Gildred was invited to attend the launch. The test was cancelled at the last minute, however, most likely due to technical difficulties.
