Primary Function: Provide housing, medical, school, and transportation facilities to all DAE units located in Kalpakkam

Description and Activities:
The General Services Organization (GSO) overseas the management, transportation, electrical services, water supply, hospital, and amenities of DAE housing complexes in Kalpakkam. These facilities include 5,344 residential quarters in the Anupuram and Kalpakkam townships alone. In addition to Kalpakkam-based DAE entities, GSO also supports personnel from the Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), and Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) that are stationed in Kalpakkam.

The Estate Management sector of GSO serves as a liaison between state and local authorities and allots housing to DAE employees. Civil construction work for GSO projects is carried out by the IGCAR's Civil Engineering Group.
