Primary Function: Construction and allotment of residential apartments for DAE employees in Mumbai; DCSEM also builds infrastructure and other facilities for DAE.

Description and Activities:
The Directorate of Construction, Services & Estate Management's (DCSEM) primarily responsibility is housing construction projects for DAE personnel. In addition to building, DCSEM manages 8,206 residential apartments located in various DAE housing colonies (the majority of these are located in the Anushaktinagar and Trombay districts of Mumbai). DCSEM is also in charge of the security for these complexes. Besides housing, DCSEM supports infrastructure construction projects within its housing colonies (schools, hospitals, etc.) and also builds laboratories and other buildings for the DAE and its associated institutions.
