Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics (IPM)

Location: Tehran
Size: Six departments
Subordinate to: AEOI
Primary Function: Research center in applied sciences

Description:

Established by the AEOI in 1989, IPM conducts research in theoretical and applied particle and high energy physics. It also performs research in mathematics, computer sciences, and intelligent systems. IPM employs 11 faculty members, and over 100 research fellows and graduate students in the School of Mathematics, School of Physics, and School of Intelligent Systems. The institute is used primarily as a training facility for Iranian nuclear scientists.
