Hwangch'on Chemical Weapons Storage Site (黃村化學武器貯藏所)

Other Names:
Central Chemical Distributing Agency (中央化學補給所)

Location: Possibly Hwangch'on (黃村), Pyongyang (平壤市), North Korea. [Note: Hwangch'ŏn's location is unknown, but it could be an old place name in the Pyongyang area.]

Subordinate to: Maram and Chiha-ri Materials Corporations ( 마람・支下里資材商事), Department of Materials (機材部), the Nuclear Chemical Defense Bureau (核化學防衛局), General Staff Department (人民軍總參謀部), Ministry of People's Armed Forces (人民武力部)

Size: One underground storage facility, 25 storage tanks, about 30 chemical transport vehicles, and about 30 storage buildings

Primary Function: Chemical weapons storage

Description: This is one of six reported chemical weapons storage facilities. The site has been associated with CW supply for the III Corps of the Korean People's Army.
