Maram Materials Corporation (마람資材商事)

Maram Corporation (마람商事), 610 Research Institute (610硏究所), Masan-dong(馬山洞) Chemical Weapons Storage

Location: Masan-dong (馬山洞), Yongsŏng-kuyŏk (龍城區域), Pyongyang (平壤市), North Korea. [Note: Some reports say that the Maram Corporation is located in Maram-dong, which is an old name for Masan-dong.]

Subordinate to: Department of Materials (機材部), the Nuclear Chemical Defense Bureau (核化學防衛局), General Staff Department (人民軍總參謀部), Ministry of People's Armed Forces (人民武力部)

Primary Function: Storage and supply of CW agents for the III Corps of the Korean People's Army

Description: The Maram Chemical Corporation, along with the Chiha-ri Materials Corporation, is responsible for the storage and supply of chemical weapons. The firm manages the storage of solid and liquid chemical agents in underground tunnels and four-meter tanks, respectively. Defector Yi Chung Kuk, who claims to have served with the 18th Nuclear Chemical Defense Battalion, has diagrammed the locations of related sites below:
