CS, Riot-control agent (RCA)
Riot-control agents (i.e., tear gases including CS and CN) are reportedly manufactured in the DPRK at the April 25 Vinalon Factory, Ch'ŏngjin Chemical Fiber Complex, Chŏngsu Chemical Factory, February 8th Vinalon Factory, Hamhǔng Chemical Factory, Hŭngnam Chemical Fertilizer Plant, Manp'o Chemical Factory, Shinŭiju Chemical Complex, as well as the Sŭnch'on Calcium Cyanamide Fertilizer Factory and the Sŭnch'on Vinalon Complex. The Kanggye Chemical Factory has been reported specifically with regard to the ongoing production of CN and CS. Other than quelling domestic disturbances, it is not known for what military purpose the DPRK might stockpile CS, nor is it known in what quantity North Korea produces or stockpiles this agent.
