The state-owned arms manufacturer Denel Group has signed a 1 billion rand (143 million U.S. dollars) deal with Brazil to co-develop a new generation missile. The missile will be the next-generation A-Darter, and air-to-air missile designed to meet future challenges of air combat fighters. The partnership will Brazil will bring “much needed skills, training and technology transfer to the country.” Furthermore, future export contracts of another 2 billion rand are expected in the next 15 years.
