
Other Names: n/a Location: n/a Subordinate To: n/a Size: n/a Primary Function: Electricity production Description: As part of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement signed by Russia and Syria in 1997, the two countries have concluded a deal, which stipulates that Russia will build Syria two nuclear reactors to be used for electricity production.[1] This cooperation will enable Syria to construct a "competent nuclear facility" to monitor all kinds of nuclear energy and its uses.[2]
