Name: Laboratory for Reactor Materials Location: Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Vinča Subordinate to: Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Vinča Size: Laboratory-scale Primary Function: research in fuel fabrication Description: In 1962, this laboratory was established to produce fuel elements for the RA research reactor. It conducted research on uranium oxide fuel fabrication technology.[1] In collaboration with the Energy Commission of Czechoslovakia, the laboratory developed the capability to fabricate uranium oxide fuel elements for the RA Research Reactor.[2]
