History - The Beginnings

ith the memory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki still fresh, the world soon tried to find a diplomatic mechanism to prevent any future use or acquisition of nuclear weapons. However, the Cold War postures of the United States and the Soviet Union doomed these early efforts.

Argentina begins long-term nuclear research program retaining the option to develop nuclear weapons.
