his presentation describes the basic types of nuclear weapons, identifies the materials and technology they require, and discusses the relative difficulty of designing and building each type of weapon. In general, terrorists would face fewer difficulties in acquiring and using simple nuclear weapons than they would in attempting to use advanced weapon types.
