The University of Alexandria has departments and faculty dedicated to teaching nuclear physics and engineering. Its faculty and students undertake significant nuclear related research, including in the fields of nuclear engineering, chemical engineering, and radiation oncology.
Bowen and Kidd report that "research has been conducted at the University of Alexandria on multicomponent isotope separation in asymmetric cascades, which could potentially be used in uranium enrichment using aerodynamic methods."
