Catholic Perspectives on Nuclear Deterrence

Timed to coincide with 2015 NPT Review Conference, Catholic scholars and nuclear policy experts will gather on May 7 in New York at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs to discuss evolving Catholic approaches to nuclear proliferation and disarmament, including recent statements issued by the Holy See.

In an interview with America, panelist Des Browne, NTI vice chairman, underscores the significance of the Vatican's position, calling it an "opportunity" for "a dialogue across partisan lines" about nuclear disarmament.
