As Communications Manager, Meaghan Webster is responsible for developing web and social media content, development of communications materials, and assisting in strategic planning for NTI outreach initiatives.
Michelle Nalabandian joined NTI in 2009 and serves as program officer for the scientific and technical affairs program. In this role, she manages operational elements of the program, focusing on the security of nuclear and radiological materials globally, cybersecurity for nuclear facilities, and biosecurity threats.
Kelsey Hartigan is currently on a 24-month assignment to the U.S. Department of Defense. Until her departure in January 2016, she served as a senior program officer for material security and minimization and the Nuclear Security Project.
As director of digital communications, Carter B. Bates is responsible for the Nuclear Threat Initiative’s digital strategy, leading efforts in web development, digital and social media outreach, and content development. He joined NTI in July 2015.
Robert E. Berls, Jr. has a deep background in Soviet/Russian energy and nuclear weapons issues. During the first Clinton Administration, he was special assistant for Russia/NIS Programs to the secretary of energy.
Laura Kiefer, Executive Assistant and Development Assistant, joined NTI in 2013. Kiefer contributes to both administrative and development efforts at NTI, providing assistance to the Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Development Officer as well as the Chief Financial Officer.
