Sara Beth Marchert joined NTI in February 2019 as a Herbert J. Scoville Fellow, working mainly with the Scientific and Technical Affairs program.
Prior to NTI, Marchert interned with Argonne National Laboratory, worked as a research assistant at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and was a Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Scholar with the Center for International Trade & Security.
Marchert holds BAs in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of Georgia. She will graduate in May with MAs in Nonproliferation & Terrorism Studies and International Affairs from the dual-degree program with the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship, established in 1987, is a highly-competitive national fellowship program that provides recent college and graduate school alumni with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security.
