Sylvia Mishra

Herbert Scoville Jr. Fellow

Sylvia Mishra joined NTI’s Global Nuclear Policy Program as a Herbert Scoville Jr. Fellow in March 2018. At NTI, her research focuses on the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, South Asian security, and emerging and disruptive technologies.

Previously, Mishra was a visiting fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), in Monterey, Calif., and she was a CSIS Nuclear Scholar Initiative Fellow. Mishra also worked for the Observer Research Foundation’s Strategic Studies Initiative and the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER)-Wadhwani Chair in India-US Policy Studies, New Delhi.

Mishra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hindu College, University of Delhi, a Master of Science in International Relations from London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master of Arts in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She received a certificate from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for completing a course on International Safeguards Policy and Information Analysis.
