Interpol Investigating Report of Uranium Market in Mozambique


A large quantity of enriched uranium was stolen from a Soviet ship and purchased by South African and Israeli agents several months ago. Several hundred drums of material are being offered for sale. The possibility of a uranium black market in Maputo, Mozambique is under investigation. Soviet diplomatic sources said there are no signs of missing or stolen nuclear material at home.
