Palau first submitted a report to the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1540 Committee on 10 April 2008.

Offers/Requests for Assistance

On 10 April 2008, Palau requested assistance in counterterrorism. Palau specified that in terms of border controls, it needs financial support in order to deploy unmanned aerial surveillance craft, and to support work on regulations and combating money laundering. In particular, Palau indicated it needs technical assistance to make the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) operational and effective.
