Offers/Requests for Assistance

As indicated in Vanuatu's 2007-dated 1540 report, the government of Vanuatu declared that it would welcome any technical assistance that could help it to fully implement the requirements of UNSCR 1540, particularly to develop enhanced operational capability within police and border security agencies, and to improve practical implementation of obligations relating to national control lists. In 2009, the Government of Vanuatu and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs jointly hosted a UNSCR 1540 workshop that aimed to help the Pacific regional states implement the requirements of the UNSCR 1540.
