Ernest Moniz Discusses the Future of Nuclear Weapons with Santa Fe Panel on the Arts

On July 8, 2018 NTI CEO and Co-Chair Ernest J. Moniz participated
in a panel discussion about the future of nuclear weapons hosted by the Santa
Fe Opera and Creative Santa Fe in New Mexico. Moniz was joined by
internationally acclaimed stage director and librettist of the new production of Doctor Atomic at the Santa Fe Opera Peter Sellars and the show’s choreographer Emily
Johnson. 
 The
discussion, moderated by former television journalist Sam Donaldson, covered
the complex history of nuclear weapons in New Mexico and current proliferation
challenges. Panelists also discussed creative process of the opera and explored
how the arts can catalyze positive impact and change on social issues.
