NIS Nuclear Trafficking Database
The Newly Independent States (NIS) Nuclear Trafficking Abstracts Database includes cases and reported incidents of trafficking in nuclear and radioactive materials in and from the NIS. The database also features trafficking incident tables and summaries and analysis of relevant articles and reports.
Researchers at the Center for Nonproliferation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies have been compiling this information since 1991 from hundreds of foreign and domestic news sources as well as from field reports.
These abstracts are taken from open press sources and unclassified government documents and are presented on an as-reported basis. The Center for Nonproliferation Studies cannot vouch for the accuracy or veracity of these reports, nor can it verify reported facts in the abstracts.
This
