Nunn, Rohlfing Applaud Nomination of Laura Holgate to be U.S. Ambassador in Vienna
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former NTI official Laura Holgate was nominated today by President Obama to be the Ambassador and U.S. Representative to the Vienna Office of the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Holgate currently serves at the Senior Director of WMD Terrorism and Threat Reduction at the National Security Council. Previously, she served for eight years as NTI’s Vice President for Russia/New Independent States Program.
“We are delighted that Laura has been nominated for this critical position for our nation and the world,” said former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn, NTI Co-Chairman. “She is extremely well-qualified and will bring superb knowledge and expertise across a broad range of security and diplomatic issues.”
