Nuclear Scaling Initiative secures $3.5M to advance U.S. reactor orderbook
Funding from the Bezos Earth Fund will support the creation of an orderbook for new nuclear reactor builds in the United States.
Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) senior leaders and experts will present and participate at the Institute for Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) & European Safeguards Research and Development Association (ESARDA) Joint Annual Virtual Meeting, hosted between August 23 – September 1, 2021.
The virtual conference will bring together nuclear materials management and safeguards communities on both sides of the Atlantic to share progress, projects and discuss priorities across a variety of sectors—from government offices, national laboratories, non-governmental organizations, academia, and nuclear industry. This year’s annual meeting is focused on innovation and international collaboration, featuring panels about cross-cutting issues as well as technical presentations.

NTI hosted IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi and a group of nuclear energy and security experts for a discussion about the IAEA’s key role in effectively safeguarding the expansion of nuclear energy and related IAEA activities.
Three members of NTI’s Nuclear Materials Security (NMS) team will participate in the 63rd annual meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM), which will be held virtually from July 24-28, 2022.
