This week, the Creative Artists Agency (CAA)—the world’s largest talent agency, representing clients across film, television, music, sports, brands, and the creator economy—re-launched the Full Story Initiative with a toolkit that included NTI as an official partner and go-to resource for nuclear weapons storytelling.
Full Story is a resource for CAA’s film and TV clients to encourage authentic and accurate storytelling about communities and topics that are frequently misrepresented in Hollywood portrayals. The initiative’s toolkit provides background information and tips to creatives as they develop projects. Full Story also encourages collaboration between film and TV storytellers and organizations with unparalleled expertise on the world’s most pressing issues.
NTI joins more than 20 non-profit and advocacy organizations—including the Alzheimer’s Association, the ACLU, and GLAAD—offering advisory services and expertise to the creative community. NTI is CAA’s first official partner with expertise on nuclear weapon threats.
This iteration of the Full Story toolkit builds on a previous version released in 2021. According to CAA Community and Impact executive Dennis St. Rose, “This evolution keeps the same mission but delivers it in a more accessible format, giving writers and creators a working tool they can use quickly as they build stories.”
NTI’s Full Story entry provides key public opinion statistics, do’s and don’ts for nuclear storytelling, a glossary of key terms, and several case studies on NTI’s engagement with the creative community, including a recent partnership on Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite, Critical Mass’ 2024 Oppenheimer Oscars campaign, and support for Madam Secretary.
NTI’s work with CAA’s Full Story Initiative is the latest example of the Critical Mass Project’s work to harness the power of culture and media to engage new audiences and influence public perspectives on nuclear weapon risks.
