To name NTI as a beneficiary, request a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider’s website. Add the following information and return the form to establish your gift—and then make sure to notify us so we can properly thank you!

Bequest Language

Unrestricted gifts allow NTI to mitigate catastrophic threats as they evolve—ensuring your gift is future-proof. To include an unrestricted gift in your will and/or trust, use the following language:

“I give to Nuclear Threat Initiative Inc. (EIN 52-2289435), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, located at 1776 Eye Street NW, Suite 1000, Washington, DC 20006, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

To designate your gift for a particular purpose:

“I give to Nuclear Threat Initiative Inc. (EIN 52-2289435), a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, located at 1776 Eye Street NW, Suite 1000, Washington, DC 20006, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property]. This gift should be used for (state purpose) if and so long as Nuclear Threat Initiative Inc. determines that the need exists. If Nuclear Threat Initiative Inc. shall determine at the outset or at a later time that the need does not exist, or no longer exists or for some reason it is not possible (or prudent) to administer my gift as originally intended, then Nuclear Threat Initiative Inc. may, in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above.”
