Dr. Nafis Sadik was special advisor to the UN Secretary-General and special envoy for HIV/AIDS in Asia and Pacific. She consistently called attention to the importance of addressing gender, population and development issues and, particularly, the inclusion of women in decision-making and carrying out of development policy.

Pierre Lellouche is the former Deputy of Paris. He was a Member of the French Parliament from 1993-2017. Representing the center of the French capital since 1997, he is currently member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the French National Assembly and member of Paris city Council.

As the director of public education and outreach, Mimi Hall is responsible for building awareness of the threats from weapons of mass destruction and of the solutions to address them. A former journalist, she has first-hand experience translating complex issues for a broader audience.

Robert E. Berls, Jr. has a deep background in Soviet/Russian energy and nuclear weapons issues. During the first Clinton Administration, he was special assistant for Russia/NIS Programs to the secretary of energy.

Ambassador Riaz Mohammad Khan is a former Foreign Secretary of Pakistan and former Ambassador to China, the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg and to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Jill Hruby was NTI’s inaugural Sam Nunn Distinguished Fellow, completing her year-long term in November 2019. Before joining NTI, she served as the director of Sandia National Laboratories from July 2015 through May 2017. Sandia is a Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration national laboratory with diverse national security missions that include nuclear weapons, cyberspace, energy, non-proliferation, biological defense, and space.

A founding NTI staff member, Joan Rohlfing became president and chief operating officer of the Nuclear Threat Initiative in January 2010, after nine years as NTI's senior vice president for programs and operations.

Laura Kiefer, director of administrative operations, joined NTI in 2013. Kiefer contributes to both administrative and development efforts at NTI, providing administrative direction and assistance to the chief development officer and chief financial officer.
