Army Issues $755M Patriot Contract

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command has issued a $755 million contract for Lockheed Martin to provide equipment and work for the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 air-defense system, the company announced on Thursday.

The defense firm is to deliver 168 PAC-3 missiles, along with 27 "launcher modification kits and associated tooling, as well as program management and services," according to a press release.

The release did not include details about the new sale to Taiwan, which first purchased the kinetic PAC-3 missiles in 2009.
