Uranium Transfer Details Still Developing

The U.S. Energy Department is still devising plans to move a cache of aging, weapon-usable atomic material from Tennessee to Nevada, KSNV MyNews3 reported on Friday.

Specifics concerning the planned transfer are "still up in the air," and include how to ensure "everything is secure and ... there's an exact place" at the Nevada National Security Site for the uranium 233 and uranium 235 from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, said Kathleen Beinenstein, chairwoman of the Nevada Site Specific Advisory Board.
