Iranian ICBM Might be Ready for Flight in 2015: Pentagon
Adequate support from countries such as China, North Korea and Russia could enable Iran as soon as 2015 to conduct a trial flight of an ICBM suited to reach U.S. territory, the Defense Department said in sections of a yearly analysis made public on Thursday.
The January 2013 findings appeared to echo prior Pentagon findings about Iran's growing missile capacities, Defense Update reported. The "Annual Report on Military Power of Iran" also found that Iran is pressing forward with "technical capabilities applicable to nuclear weapons" and "ballistic missiles that could be adapted to deliver nuclear weapons."
Iran says it is not developing nuclear weapons.
